Ridings Law Solicitors | Welcome

The advancement of medical science and the higher standards of living enjoyed by many have led to the average life expectancy increasing considerably in the last twenty five years.

A living will is not actually a will at all, but a document, an advanced directive, which sets out your wishes relating to your medical treatments in case there is little or no prospect of your recovery and you are unable to communicate your wishes.

Living wills give you the peace of mind of knowing that, if the worst happens, your wishes will be followed through.  Your living will should be given to your Doctor to be lodged with your medical records.

There are procedures which need to be followed to ensure that your living will is valid and we are able to advise you regarding these procedures.
